PhD in Applied Mathematics Invite applications for 2016/17 admissionThe Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) conducts world-class research in a large number of areas and its research emphasizes high application value.
The Department of Applied Mathematics (AMA) of PolyU invites outstanding graduates to its PhD study programme. AMA currently has three main research groups; namely Applied Statistics and Financial Mathematics, Optimization and Operations Research as well as Engineering and Computational Mathematics.
It offers both PhD research programmes in the following five major areas:
1. Applied Optimization and Optimal Control
2. Applied Statistics
3. Computational Mathematics
4. Financial Mathematics
5. Operations Research

General requirement:
Applicants shall hold a postgraduate degree containing a significant research component, such as a dissertation, conferred by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University or a recognized university.
