Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellow position in the Institute of Natural Sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. This position is immediately available and associated with a joint project on high performance computing of super-capacitors and green energy devices. Candidates with an applied mathematics, computational physics,and/or scientific computation background are especially encouraged to apply.

Successful candidate should have a Ph.D. diploma, and is expected to understand particle dynamics related to diffusion and transport phenomena in energy devices and be capable of developing efficient multi-dimensional numerical computation methods for Poisson-Nernst-Planck (PNP) equation or dynamic density functional theory (DDFT).  

The initial appointment of the postdoc position will be for two years with a possible renewal for the third. The annual gross salary is generally between 150,000 RMB and 190,000 RMB, depending on the experience and the profile of the candidate, together with a research startup fund and other benefits.
