ECM2017在香港理工大学召开

On 31 May – 2 June, 2017, more than 300 scholars from 25 countries and regions met at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for the Third International Conference on Engineering and Computational Mathematics (ECM2017). With the emphasis of strong interaction of significant 
mathematics with advanced algorithms applicable to real world applications, first-rate invited 
speakers including academicians from Asia, Europe, and North America, attended the conference.

The programme included 6 plenary addresses, 6 streams and 4 invited workshops with 235 talks. 
The plenary addresses were given by internationally-recognized scholars:

Benoit Perthame    Université Pierre et Marie Curie, France
Chi-Wang Shu Brown University, USA
Bernd Sturmfels    University of California, USA
Zhiliang Ying  Columbia University in the City of New York, USA

The delegation from the Chinese mainland included 108 participants, young and mature scholars alike. 
There were 91 participants from Hong Kong, representing five universities. More than 40 students participated in the conference, some of them gave talks and many of them engaged in academic discussions with senior scholars.
