Abstract
THE MATHEMATICS OF FINITE ELEMENTS AND APPLICATIONS 2016
会议日期:14 - 17 June 2016
会议地点: Brunerl University London, UK
会议介绍:The internationally recognized MAFELAP conferences have been run by BICOM at Brunel University at three year intervals since 1972. In these conferences exposure is given to research on the theory and practical application of finite element methods. The fifteenth conference on the Mathematics of Finite Elements and Applications will be held at Brunel University and run during 14 - 17 June, 2016.
The aim will again be to bring together workers from different disciplines whose common interest is finite element methods, and to promote wider awareness throughout the finite element community of the latest developments in the field.
The MAFELAP focus is deliberately wide. We welcome contributions a across all application areas of finite elements including, but not limited to: contact, structural integrity, impact, flow, marine, oil and gas engineering, electromagnetism, biomedical engineering technology, CFD, stress analysis, climate modelling, aircraft and automotive technology, HPC and exascale implications, inverse problems and parameter identification, uncertainty quantification, validation and verification, …
We also welcome contributions across the whole range of established and recent techniques in theory and software tools and environments for spatial and temporal continuous and discontinuous mixed, meshless, spectral and (Petrov-) Galerkin finite and boundary element methods for static and time dependent linear and nonlinear multiphysics and multiscale problems along with all of the numerous related methods.
MAFELAP: for those studying, developing or using FEM, BEM or related methods.
Invited speakers: Mark Ainsworth (Brown University, USA), Douglas Arnold (University of Minnesota, USA), Ferdinando Auricchio (University of Pavia, Italy), James Belak (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, USA),Jan Hesthaven (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland), J. Tinsely Oden (ICES, University of Texas at Austin, USA), Jaime Peraire (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA), Spencer Sherwin (Imperial College London, UK), Rade Vignjevic (Brunel University London, UK) Barbara Wohlmuth (Technical University of Munich, Germany)
