Abstract
Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research (BICMR), Peking University and the Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics (IAPCM) are seeking one or two joint postdoctoral scholars. Successful candidates should hold a Ph.D. in computational/applied mathematics or a related field (such as physics, engineering, computer science). The position requires working knowledge and experiences in numerical methods for partial differential equations. Fortran or C/C++ programing is required. Experience in parallel computing is preferred.
Appointed candidates will work closely with the faculty at the BICMR and IAPCM on researches related to large-scale and parallel numerical simulations. The postdoctoral scholars will also have opportunities to visit research institutions in USA and Europe. The appointments will be effective immediately or at a date that is agreeable to the candidate and BICMR/IAPCM.
Applications will be accepted and reviewed until the positions are filled. More information about BICMR and IAPCM can be found at www.bicmr.org and http://www.iapcm.ac.cn. Applicants can submit the following application materials to Prof. Hu Jun(email:hujun@math.pku.edu.cn): a cover letter, curriculum vitae, research statement and three (or more) letters of recommendation.
