Abstract
The University of Alabama Department of Mathematics invites applications for a non-tenure-track, Postdoctoral Research Associate position in Scientific Computing, beginning the fall term of 2014. The initial appointment will be for one year and is renewable for up to two years, depending on performance. The Postdoctoral Fellow will work with Dr. Shan Zhao on Computational Molecular Biology. A Ph.D. in Computational Mathematics, Mathematical Biology or a related field is required. Strong programming skills are also required. Candidates with expertise in immersed interface/boundary methods, high order methods for PDEs, PDE models for molecular biology, mathematical biophysics, or parallel/GPU computing are encouraged to apply.
