2005年，Springer出版社出版一本名为<Basics of Fluid Mechanics and Introduction to Computational Fluid Dynamics>的书 (法国Claude Brezinski 主编的丛书: Numerical Methods and Algorithms, vol.3)，此书第7章标题为：The Finite volume Method and Generalized Difference Method. 第2节为 Generalized Difference Method（pp.411-438），作者按照我们(李荣华，陈仲英和吴微) 的专著[83]介绍我国早在70年代末建立的广义差分法，其中9个定理涵盖了80年代得到的理论结果。本章前言最后一段（p.398）说：In 1978, R.Li, using finite element spaces and generalized characteristic functions on dual elements, rewrote integral interpolation methods in a form of generalized Galerkin methods(GDM). This method is basically an extension of the finite volume method (i.e., with piecewise constant and piecewise linear elements the two methods are, in fact equivalent) and provides a useful theoretical basis for it.
