Abstract
袁亚湘院士主要从事非线性优化的数值方法研究，在信赖域法、序列二次规划方法、拟牛顿法、非光滑优化、共轭梯度法和子空间方法等领域做出了卓越贡献。目前他已经出版了五本书（其中一本由Springer Verlag出版），并在Mathematical Programming, SIAM J. Numer. Anal., SIAM J. Optimization, Numer. Math., Math. of Comp., IMA J. Numer. Anal. 等国际期刊上发表了170多篇研究论文。
