Guide for Authors

The Innovative Teaching and Learning is a scholarly journal founded by the BNU-HKBU United International College. This journal aims to promote college teaching and learning through empirical and review studies, as well as teaching practices. During the transition stage, here are the guidelines for submissions.

1All manuscripts, including title page, abstract, citations, references, tables, and figures, submitted should follow APA Style Guidelines according to the 7th edition of Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association  (Note. The APA publication manual could be borrowed from the UIC Learning Resource Center. It is also suggested to refer to the APA sample papers and Purdue Online Writing Lab resources).

2. There are no page or word limits for manuscripts.

3. The manuscript should include the abstract (no more than 200 words), along with 3-5 keywords.

4. The manuscript should be written in American English.

All manuscripts pass through double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript will be reviewed by two or more reviewers invited. The Editorial Board reserves the right to edit the manuscript further. If publication is delayed for technical reasons, an article may be held for a subsequent issue.

Articles already published elsewhere in academic journals, online, or in any other form will not be considered for publication. If a submission includes images, quotations, or other contents already under copyright, it is the responsibility of the author to obtain the relevant permissions.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact the Executive Editor Dr. Yi-Lung Kuo at journal@uic.edu.cn or yilungkuo@uic.edu.cn

Submission Policy and Copyright

Submission of a manuscript implies that the paper is original and has not been submitted elsewhere.

It is required that authors provide a Transfer of Copyright to the Publisher. The signed Consent to Publish gives the Publisher the Author(s)' permission to publish the Work. The signed Transfer of Copyright empowers the Publisher on behalf of the Author(s) to protect the Work and its image against any unauthorized use, and to properly authorize dissemination of the work. This includes printed publications, offprints, reprints, electronic files, licensed photocopies, microform editions, translations, and document delivery. It also covers secondary information sources such as abstracting, reviewing and indexing services, including converting the Work into machine-readable form, and storing it in electronic databases. The Editors will supply the necessary forms for this transfer.
